After distribution of preferences, today’s News Poll apparently puts the Coalition neck and neck with Labor federally. The Coalition however, remain confident that Scott Morrison’s government will be re-elected when an election is held sometime this year.
That will obviously be a good thing for Australia and the Quiet Australians will rejoice yet again. In the main, the coalition has done a great job and it will be a relief to see them in power for another term.
The one urgent thing that they will almost certainly not address before or even after the next election is the left-wing bias at the ABC. It remains a mystery as to why not. Even handedness is after all, required by the ABC Charter and a is statutory requirement. Yet somehow, they continue to spew Cultural Marxist drivel year in, year out with impunity.
PM Scott Morrison must know that upsetting the ABC and its followers will not adversely affect the outcome of an election because most of the people who watch, read or listen to the ABC are already dyed in the wool lefties. They are unlikely cast a vote for the Coalition no matter what they do.
On the other hand, few things animate the Comments Section of The Australian than an article on yet another outrage by the ABC. I had hoped that referring to Australia Day as Invasion Day would have been the straw, but alas not.
Australia needs strong leadership and PM Scott Morrison provides that. How much stronger would that leadership be perceived to be if he addressed something as difficult as the ABC and its bias.
