Barack Obama and Malcolm Turnbull negotiated a deal in Paris where China (the worlds biggest polluter) could continue to spew fumes with impunity until 2030. They are building one coal fired power station a week until then.
This means that if Australia commits to zero by 2023, we will have no impact on the climate, while our industries are wrecked and our pensioners are cold in winter.
So it is not about the climate. So why are we committing to this farce:
• The people who negotiated the Paris accords know it’s a farce.
• Most Australians instinctively know it’s a farce
• Some sponsors of wealthy political candidates will make millions by supplying the inefficient windmills that will provide the so-called “clean” energy.
• Some wealthy political candidates and their followers, who definitely won’t go cold in winter, can spew virtue with impunity.
• Some left-wing political parties can use it as a means of implanting their cultural Marxist dogma into Australian society, and
• Australia will be left poorer and more vulnerable.
I predict that the Quiet Australians will not fall for this nonsense and install an obviously incompetent Prime Minister who will be under the thumb of even more incompetent left-wing colleagues and the Greens and that the publicly funded ABC will on Saturday night once again have to say “We Lost”
